Overview

The 5 Gallon DosaCart is a portable system for diluting chemical concentrates on-demand and applying the solution as a fan pattern spray on to any surface. This system uses a water-driven, non-electrical chemical injector (available separately) to draw chemical concentrate from an on-board pail and blend it into the water stream to create an accurately diluted solution. This complete system is mounted on an all stainless steel cart and includes a water filter, water pressure regulator, pressure gauge and flow restrictor. Available fully adjustable proportioners cover dilution ratios from 1:3000 up to 1:5 and a choice of Viton, Aflas or Kalrez seals are available for chemical compatibility.

Safety & Operational Precautions

  • When connecting to a potable water supply follow all local codes for backflow prevention.
  • For proper performance do NOT modify in any way.
  • Manufacturer assumes no liability for the use or misuse of this unit.
  • Wear protective clothing, gloves and eye wear when working with chemicals.
  • Always direct the discharge away from people and electrical devices.
  • Do not adjust water regulator over the maximum pressure or flow rate of the proportioner (refer to proportioner documentation)
  • Follow the chemical manufacturer's safe handling instructions.
  • NEVER mix chemicals without first consulting chemical manufacturer.

To Install (refer to diagram on next page)

  1. Place a container of chemical concentrate in the jug rack(s).
  2. Connect the hose(s) as shown in the diagram.
  3. To prevent blocking the small water jets in the injector flush any new plumbing of debris before connecting water.
  4. Connect water supply. If water piping is older or has known contaminants, install a water filter.
  1. Determine chemical ratio, adjust the ratio based on the proportioner instruction manual.
  2. Place the pick up tube into the chemical concentrate.

To Operate

  1. With spray wand in hand and the discharge ball valve closed open the inlet ball valve.
  2. Open the discharge ball valve to rinse.
  3. When complete, close the discharge ball valve then close the inlet ball valve.
  4. Briefly re-open the discharge ball valve to relieve pressure in hose.

PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE: When the unit will be out of service for extended periods, place chemical tube(s) in water and flush the chemical out of the unit to help prevent chemical from drying out and causing build-up. Periodically check and clean chemical strainer and replace if missing.
